VII days - Waiving Goodbye to King Hafiz
In 3 hours, he will be on a plane back home to Philly. It is the end of my sad countdown. (Being positive for the past few days really helps!)
Oh i'm so looking forward for my Spring vaccay!
Or might it be a Winter break?
It is a start of a new countdown now. And i will call it a countdown to the Lalaland.
Couldnt sleep for the whole night. Am i turning myself into a nocturnal? But my eyes are. Owlyana.

VII days - Waiving Goodbye [minus 1]
YES, delicious ambiguity.
To my dearest King,
It's all said and done, it's real, and it's been fun...
It is the end of something simple and the beginning of everything else. I just gotta believe.

VII days - Waiving Goodbye [minus 2]
I'll just keep with me all the memories...
For it to be my sunshine after the goodbye.
See you again soon, King. At least I hope so...

I guess it is true.

And the best way to combat the stress and when you are unable to break away from the stress in your daily life?
Light a scented candle!
Using candles in the office can relieve much stress and help me to relax after a long hard day of series of meetings. I know, sometimes not all of us just have time to practice meditating yoga or sitting in the hot tub. We are all just too busy at times, so light the candle and make good use of them.
And my all time fave, the Tindra Apple Cinnamon candle!
Oh! The smell of the Apple Pie makes me feel hungry.
And it is 5 more hours to iftar…
"Hey! Miss Purple is having a new friend, Mr. Greeny!" - Thanks to King.
Never allow someone to be your priority while allowing yourself to be their option?

VII days - Waiving Goodbye [minus 7]
And no matter how far you may go, in my heart you’ll always be there...
Well, I suppose there's never a right time to say goodbye. So I just got to comprehend.
You passed through my life and left your mark,
You may never pass my way again,
Or you may stay forever...
No matter what,
I enjoyed the talk,
I enjoyed the walk,
I am blessed, for this moment in time...
I asked myself...
"Why him?"
"What attracts me to him?"
"What makes me want him more?"
Oh, there is so much i want to know...
Even if question are not answered,
There is one thing i want you to know,
I've been blessed by the effect you had on me,
IN THAT MOMENT IN TIME.

To everyone, I trust you will take advantage of this holiday period to have a good rest as well.
If you are travelling, I hope you will continue to make safety your top-most priority as you embark on your journey.

And I’m left with packing…
Save the very ‘best’ last?
.m.a.l.a.s.
Working has never been very lethargic and nerve-racking like today; Part of me is wandering around, mainly thinking of the unpacked stuff an the 'many-tetibe-teringat' last minute errands.

VII days - To Eid ul-Fitr [minus 3]
I have grown out of that remedial phase,
I am too weak to feel the exhilaration,
Maybe the convalescing spirit has gone astray,
Bringing along the mood away,
Or is it the custom is unconsciously dying,
Or we are just failing to remember.
Maybe we just don't be bothered anymore.
I am trying desperately attaining that recuperating spirit.
Awak, sorry.

VII days - To Eid ul-Fitr [minus 4]
Had a wonderful conversation about nothing with her aunty,
Watched her twin’s bros sleeping! One snoring, one whirring,
Clipped her nail,
Finally having a towering valor to put her on the weighing scale,
Saw people all around her, rejoicing their life in little ways,
Doing minor spring cleaning and major bumming *sloth-erella*,
Continued with her balik kampong packing,
Having her own lets-singing-ear-splitting session in her chaotic room,
Realized that we will tend to eat more when we are happy,
Went shopping with someone nice,
Discovered that true love is just undeniable, despite the price that we have to pay,
Of course hearing a lot of Hari Raya song on the radio,
And she started to become emotionally attached,
Loose the control and started to cry,
Just because of the random deliciousness and the wonderful images of the happiness of Hari Raya that she normally had,
But mostly, it makes her remember the ones she misses,
My sweet Opah, Tok Wah, Tok Ghani,
You're always in my heart and in my doa’s.

VII days - To Eid ul-Fitr [minus 5]
Back to the Eid greetings, the trend of sending out the e-greetings makes me miss the time when I excitedly opened the envelope and reading up the cards and it is the best, if it comes together with a creatively formed pantun! (I bet if you are the 80’s babies, you will be smiling evoking this ‘cute’ primary-school-memory; the pantun 2 kerat)
Pecah kaca pecah gelas,
Sudah baca harap balas!
Pecah kaca pecah tong,
Sudah baca harap gantung!
If you are fortunate enough, somebody will paste a 20 cents coin on the card as “duit raya” and will blatantly put a note below it “Ini duit raya awak. Nanti kita nak duit raya lebih bila datang rumah awak”. And the scripted content of all the cards:
Raya tahun ni dekat mana?
Dah beli baju raya?
Jangan main mercun!
Raya nanti datanglah rumah!
Puasa penuh tahun ni?
Dah beli baju raya?
Baju raya warna apa tahun ni?
Banyak kuih raya tahun ni?
Raya nanti datanglah rumah!
Buat open house tahun ini?
Oh how I miss those “hey-day”!
And I do keep all the cards until now, nicely ordered according to the year placed in my “magic box”. (Knits if you are reading this, I still have yours too! nak put up the content ke?ha-ha) Today after 15 years, I am “humbly “announcing that I didn’t receive even a single physical Eid card! *yeay* except from those with non human attachment effort; Patchi, MPH, Yves Roche and Robinson.
Well time change, and people change.
How I wish that things (everything) will be London Almondy sweet forever…
To finish, a set of pantun for all of you!
(Taken from the e-greeting received this morning)
*cheers*

Honestly, none of the kain bought recently as I just don’t feel like celebrating raya this year. The kebaya kain bought last year! Yurpy, last year. Baju kurung 1 and 2 bought my dad. And baju kurung 3 is from my mum. My own effort: Zero

VII days - To Eid ul-Fitr [minus 7]
I still haven't clean my room yet and looking at all the mess, it needs a real reformation *sigh* Knowing that this will be the time when our private place would be part of the public place for the relatives – a place to plunk their tired body after a long tired convoy visiting the relatives and as for the girls, a great place for gossips and peaking through others collection of baju raya! I guess the piles of cloth on the chest of drawers, the stacks of magazines who has loyally become my bed partner *heh* err i really need to do some major dusting and scrubbing. Lalala.. finding time to put the duster and the bin liner in action!
Now, everyone's talking about raya preparation; how much they have covered for the raya preparation. As for me, I will call it a really low celebration, just for the sake of making everybody around me happy. The cookies bought, the baju raya purchased and the duit raya prepared are all for others and as for myself, sadly, for this year there is no spark of excitement. I prefer to call it a celebration from within. And it is even sadder to leave the Ramadan as honestly it’s a really blissful month for me and I gained so much peace and tranquility.
Elle dear, we celebrate raya from within ‘togeda-geda’
