Selamat Tahun Baru

I can't wait until 2009. Top my bad year.

And I can sincerely say that I am happy to see this year go.

Honestly, I know that many, many people can top my bad year of 2008. However, it just so happens to have been the worst year of my life so far and I want to feel sorry for myself for a few minutes...

Please?

But I've decided that those are better left as lessons learned in distant memories. Better to savor the highlights and look forward to a new year.

Bye-bye melancholy year!!!

I live a blessed life. For that knowledge, I thank you, Year 2008, and bid you a fond farewell! I’m not going to ruin my high spirit for 2009, Now, it’s that time again when I am supposed to get introspective and evaluate the past year and set goals and resolutions.

Sounds rather heavy, doesn’t it?

But I’m actually looking forward to this time of year as it’s a perfect time to reflect on all the lessons that I learned and the joy I had along the way. So while I’m reviewing and evaluating, I’m also celebrating all that is great in my life!

Wishing you all a wonderful New Year - filled with the promise of peace, prosperity, exciting jobs and adventures, laughter, LOVE (marriage?), and good health.

See ya in the new year!

Packing Reflections

I hate packing. BUT I love traveling.

Yet it is something I have found myself doing a lot in my life. Especially lately. But its okay, each trip is a new shade to add to the tales of my life.

So to all my Mellowees girlfriends, thank you, thank you for the color of paint you add to my life, thank you for the understanding and acceptance of your open arms and minds. Thank you for being you, and please, Mes Amies, never change.

My love is always yours, and as I'm finding, love can bloom even in the heart of a storm. I'm a flower in bloom, unfurling my petals slowly and shyly. But even if one or two get torn away in the winds of adversity then the opening is still worth it.
Because I felt the sun of our friendship.

I’m always the heavy packer. Macam nak pindah je.. ha-ha

In The Mood Of : Commotion Out What’s Deep Inside through Music

It is the distance that makes life a little hard. But then again distance between two hearts is not an obstacle; I take it as a great reminder of just how strong true love can be. It is sometime, a beautiful pain.

Salam Maal Hijrah to all Muslim friends!

To my non-Muslims friends who are reading this, Maal Hijrah is actually Muslim's New Year. It marks the first day of Muharram on every Muslim calendar year. It’s called Maal Hijrah meaning migration. As what I know, it is a remembrance of Nabi Muhammad S.A.W migrates from Makkah to Madinah on the year 622 A.D.

As for me, I take it as a change milestone from the bad to good and as a starting point to evaluate inner-self and our self achievement. Or as how we normally heeded to, it is when the new 'book' is opened, and the old one is being closed.

Oh well, it means a new beginning for me! YES. And i want to start it all FRESH.
  • May this year brings us more Peace and increases our Iman and Taqwa.
  • May things, (everything) get better this year.
  • May Allah grant us a healthy life, prosperous and happy mind with full of Blessing in our life.
  • May this coming year bring us something meaningful.
Insyallah.

We should always be thankful to Allah for His Kindness and Blessing upon our life.

2008 is leaving soon. *yeay* and I I'm totally looking forward for 2009!

Dear Dolly,

I can hardly believe eight years have gone by this quickly. I know it sounds cliche, but it’s true! And my life is nothing but a cliche, so it totally works. Anyways. Eight years. OMG!!! I’m starting to feel old now. And the clock is ticking. Which clock, you ask? Why, the SISTER CLOCK, that’s which one! :D

Love,
Ayong

Snapshot of Amanda Azman's birthday.

Time : 2.30 pm
Venue : TTDI Jaya. (di rumah aja!)
Theme: Red & White (her very own request)

BIRTHDAY GIRL : Amanda Dolly, the precious, sweet young lady. She KNOWS how to get dirty, but I have never had to ask her twice to take a bath when needed. She loves her family and friends with all of her heart. She gives us honor through her dance, friendships and talents. She loves to sing, dance and move. I love her deep throated chuckle of a laugh. She is a great little sister and has always been. I am a better person for having her in my life. I love how God does that.

Happy Face and the birthday gifts.

Name

I received a letter last night from Bonus Link to return my card that I left in a Shell station (as stated in it) …almost 8 months ago! Ha-ha. I didn’t even noticed that it was left in the Shell station anyway as my Black Dagger drinks Petronas gas now (I’m now a full backer of Malaysia finished product, and anything made from Gombak... hehe)

I applied for the card way back in 2003 and what attracts me most when I looked at the card last night was the embossing name. Mademoiselle Yanna. My much loved moniker once upon a time ago. Well that captured my attention to realized that I have many names! So for that, I posted out this entry and it is all about my names or what people are addressing me with.

1. LA [Moi Full Name] - Given by my late Atok Ghani given the love that he had for the name Liyana and the meaning of it: KEHALUSAN DAN KELEMBUTAN. Haha. And for Azira, it actually came from my uncle, a combination of my parent’s name, ‘Azi’ (from my dad, Azmi) and ‘ra’ (from my mum, Shaharah)
2. Yanna - Seeing Liyana Azira is a bit too lengthy to be enunciate, that is what my parents decided to call me with.
3. Ayong - Being the eldest in the family, that is how my brothers and sisters address me. Ayong is actually a title given to the eldest daughter in a family for Northern people. (My mum is from Taiping)
4. Mama - It is the female version of Papa, as in paparazzi .fullstop.
5. Lulu - Gemini’s are well known for their split personality. We are the ‘twins’! So that is another revolution of me. Ha-ha.
6. Pink Dagger - My chatting name when NRIC was such a hit and to my surprised, i'm still being called by the name. (I was such a devoted aficionado of Point Blanc the Yellow dagger before! So to make it so ‘me’, I change it to Pink Dagger. It was once upon a time,
about 10 years ago okay!)
7. Muffin - Kerana pipiku yang kembong! *ngeh*. The name that I will be hearing more often now? hee

Positive!

Free Massage Anyone?

I guess Cyberjaya Distributed Transportation Service should put an additional sign in all of their buses or maybe have a special dedicated sit for the BANANA.

And trust me, the sign should reads: Reserved for People who reclined Their Seatbacks the Entire 30 Minutes Bus Journey.

While we are trying to limit our reclining as we understand the discomfort of inflicting the poor people behind us there are selfish ‘inhabitants’. If everyone is leaning back together, in the manner of coordinated back swim routines, then it is fair and fine enough.

Unfortunately, it is not.

This morning I had a seatback diva in front of me. Practically, she was in my lap. Seriously. And the best part, pompously talking like “hey listen!-I have a boyfriend-and-we-are-going-out-for-a-nice-charismas-celebration-tonight!”

No, not at all that I felt invidious by the fact that she is meeting her Santa Clause tonight. Not that I care off anyway. But when it comes with continuous exasperating giggles and seat pumping sessions, it has pissing me off. I don’t need an ‘OSIM massager” to slim down my thigh at any point here. I tried hard to ignore it and in desperation, I took off my hand phone and turned the radio on.

Not long ago, I was ‘stimulated’ by another lap hit. This time, it is too much that I can take off.

“Excuse Me?” I nudged the chair not at all gently.

Ha-ha.

I felt so reprieved. And without even a word of apologetic from her, she tilt up the seat and the ride went by ‘peacefully”

THANK GOD.

And on my journey back to Shah Alam, the occupier of the next seat made his move upon the imaginary line of the seat and planted his elbow in my peninsula where it should be roamed free by only me. (Yes my joints are aching. But the elbow acupuncture wont hit the healing points okay!)
Pulak dah.

I surrender, Adoi. What a day!

Her Belly says: Acar Buah

One of the reasons why I'm so excited to attend my mum's best friend's son wedding tomorrow is because of the: Acar Buah

It is essentially a fruit chutney of preserved fruit slow cooked in spices to result in a sweetish, spicy mixture that’s really good, and it is even best when it is being cooked by:

yanna.lyana
*heh*

Yes, I would say this is my ‘mega’ project as I’ve been asked to prepare the Acar Buah for 700 guess. Thanks to my late Opah. It is the most ‘valuable’ skills that I’ve learnt from her and to my surprised, none my aunties or cousins become heir to her undeniable lip smacking acar buah cooking skills.

And I believe none of you are made known off that I’ve sent my Acar Buah every Ramadhan (for consecutive 3 years now) as a consignment in a restaurant near to my house and a must thing in the hampers ordered from Ennesie Ideas (my mum’s design house) for all the corporate hampers. (Extra duit raya la!) But all of them were cooked in batches. For this so called ‘mega’ project of mine, for 700 pax, since it was quite a short notice, I’ve prepared it in 3 BIG batches!

Tiring. But as far as my depleted meter concerns, I never feel tired cooking. It is just my passion.

Just as some of you may know, Acar is commonly served as a condiment to be eaten with a main course such as Nasi Minyak and Beriyani. It’s called Acar Buah for a reason; imagine Dried Food dipped within massive curry taste gravy. It tastes Sweet, Sour and yet also Spicy. And the best part is, this type of Acar can be stored up to 3 months.

I still remember last month when i were asked to prepare the acar buah for 500 pax in Terengganu, it was supposed to be served to the guess as well on top of the acar rampai prepared by the caterer. But, since the ‘overwhelmed’ respond received to the acar, they decided to just keep it and distributed it among the family members as a ‘buah tangan’ from the wedding host. And none of them belief that it was actually being prepared by a 25 old me! (tak nak buat menantu ke? Ha-ha) And I received a request from a shop owner who attended the wedding for it to be sold at her shop! (To send it from Shah Alam to KT? I don’t think so, (for now la))

Hey! It’s not ‘masuk bakul angkat sendiri’ okay! Most of them complimented that they have never tasted such a nice acar like mine!

Lucky Fashionistas

I have been invited by little.black.book as a “LUCKY fashionistas” for an exclusive Stila cosmetics workshop this morning at W3, Subang Parade. I just love makeup. That is indubitable. Though I’m not really the user of Stila makeup, but just grabbing the opportunity in view of the fact that, as per the email sent, “Door Gift and Refreshments provided”

haha

So this morning, I woke up early and drove myself to W3, seizing the chance to learn makeup tips and secrets from Stila's pro artist. It started at 10.30 but I reached there early just to grab the best sit for the workshop.

Well let’s talk about Stila makeup. To be frank, I really don’t know much about Stila as even until this is being posted, Benefit is still my preferred and favored makeup brand. (It is unassailable!)

Stila as how Benefit is for me is a modern and approachable makeup brand which celebrates our own unique beauty; to look and feel like the best version of us; and to have fun doing it. It creates a natural yet gorgeous and nice looking appearance which will definitely wonder others as we may look ‘colorless’ but yet glowing and radiantly presented.

For that two and a half hours workshop, we have been given the chance to make our self up with the help of the makeup artist in guiding and giving us tips and tricks on how to enhance our natural beauty and exploring Stila makeup products. And the best part, a step-by-step make up techniques on how to make ourselves ready with own make up at home in 20 minutes or so!

And I’m even luckier as I received a free complementary full makeover voucher worth of RM150 from Stila and RM10 little.black.book voucher as the door gifts. (Worth scarifying my weekend sleep for!)

I don’t know why, maybe I’m just used to Benefit makeup; the end effect of Stila makeup doesn’t impressed me enough though. But then, I really love their Lip Glaze. This lightly tinted lip gloss is the perfect compliment to any skin color. It glides on gently with the brush applicator making it super easy on the go. It is pretty long lasting as well. It may be a tad sticky and takes a bit in getting used to it (not the stuff you want to put on right before kissing. ha-ha) but for a clean finished look, this lip gloss is really nice and works awesomely. (FYI, this is the gloss J Lo twisted and wore in The Wedding Planner!)

By and large, I had so much fun and I really enjoyed the workshop. Thanks Stila and little.black.book for the goodies bag as well as the refreshment. (It’s a really nice fruits tarts, quiche, tuna sandwich and cookies from W3 cafe!)

Do loop me again little.black.book!

In The Mood Of: Blogging Again!

Yes, yes and yesssss friends… I’m doing just fine! :D

I’ve switch my hibernating mode OFF now, so I’m back blogging. Well I would not be calling it a real hibernating-hide away session as I have been hard-pressed and bunged, under duress for doing so. Or in short, my Mr. Lappie laptop rosakla! Ergh.

Another ‘best friend’ of mine was sent to the hospital.

Waiting for my Mr. Lappie and Ms. Lullaby out, is like waiting for a real friend out off the hospital. You are left with a big query mark and living in uncertainty on how serious they could be? Am I going to loose them forever? Is there a chance for them to survive? And the most crucial and has been haunting me deficiently for the past almost one month, (of course this is only for the two ok!) how much am I going to debit my account now?

So now they are back! Yes, they survived with just a minor operation and the debiting part does not affect my self decreed debt-management program. Ha-ha. Thank God.

And today, enthusiastically, Liyana Azira Mohammad Azmi will start blogging again.

More and more to come!

Rest assured.

i see lights at the end of the tunnel.

Happy Pills

I’m really fried, but in a good way.

Life is just really full — and with things I love to do, so I’m not complaining.
I’m preaching on happiness in December and as I was taking my shower tonight I hit on my own personal definition of happiness:

Happiness means never having the thought, “Why am I doing this with my life? Why did I make this choice? If I had this all to do over again, I would have chosen so differently.”

That’s the heart of Eudaimonic happiness, a concept that interests me very much. Eudaimonic happiness isn’t about pleasure or “up” feelings, it is about doing what you feel you were meant to do, and being who you were meant to be.

It’s the only definition of happiness that has ever made sense to me, and having discovered it makes me very, well… happy!

So, angsty people who feel misunderstood by loved ones who frequently question your intensity and exhort you to just “be happy, already,” tell them what yanna.lyana told you: you are happy, it’s just a different kind of happiness than the one they would have you seek.

Happy Birthday

I’m back!

It is another weekend in November and yes, it is another birthday!

Gush,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
A birthday is just the first day of another 365-day journey around the sun. So enjoy the trip aite! The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate. And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years. I love you dear, and I’ll pray for your happiness. We know that we will to have it in 2009 right? Hehe.

xoxo

It was Farah’s 25th birthday yesterday, so the girls decided to throw a small closed surprised for her. (Indeed, you were astounded kan Farah?) After dolling up Elina, (ha-ha) we decided to explode the exhilaration of the celebration through... SINGING. Yes, it is a true Karaoke session and we had so much fun! You name it! Spice Girls? BSB (Complement with the dance steps! Ha-ha) to Indonesian and Malay and Oldies song, belasah aja. And to end the flock, we sang a birthday song to the birthday girl! (Farah, terharu tak?)

And seriously if the session were to be captured by a vid cam, none of us would ever have the courage to watch ourselves. (And yurp, I would prefer to call it a session untuk melepaskan geram yang terbuku!)

Imagine? But it was a gust, enjoyable moment.

And there was another surprised to be rolled out! Dinner at Bubbba Gump. And the best part of the dinner is not truly about the food, but the finale part. Ha-ha.

First, seeing Farah doing her booty shake and second, the eye-catching dessert, (Girls, which desserts do you think? *wink*)

Without a doubt, despite the fact that I’m still with the fragmented exhaustion from the Terengganu trip, I had a lovely and amusing date with my Mellowees.

Out Of Town

I have wedding to attend this Friday in Terengganu so i'll leave KL tomorrow night after work. I'm not sure how much time I'll have to complete the tasks on my list or to update the blog.

But it is not a long trip, I'll be back on Sunday.

Sunday?
It is a sunshine day for Farah!

Till then...

Takut

"Prepare your umbrella!!! the world is changing. the economy is going to be the worst nightmare of all. Everyone is struggling to save themselves. Keep ourselves updated. and prepare for the worse."

Seriously it is scary! As recession will definitely hit workers hard, saya menjadi semakin risau.

1. Millions in the US and Europe will lose their jobs. Malaysia? I think this time, the recession in the world's leading Muslim economy will not be that bad kot.
2. The likeliness for the bonuses to be cut off and reduced is so damn high! *sobsob*

B.U.T

Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop said the Malaysian habit of saving had prevented Malaysia from being hit hard by the global financial crisis.

yeke??

In The Mood Of: Swaying to Olivia Ong

Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.

Saya merasakan bahawa:
Music in itself is healing. It's something we are all touched by.

Agree?

Olivia's chill rendition of Frank Sinatra's, Fly Me to the Moon will definitely make you sway.

Fly me to the moon
Let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars

In other words, hold my hand
In other words, darling kiss me

Fill my heart with song and
Let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore

In other words, please be true
In other words, I love you

Fill my heart with song and
Let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore

In other words, please be true

In other words, I love you

Gift Hunting

  • tired
  • almost give up
  • with love, i gained back the spirit
  • keep positively thinking as how "The Secret" law of attraction has thought
  • finally
  • after 4 hours gift hunting
  • I've completed my final Things-TO DO list for the twin's birthday tomorrow and he has done his
*yeay*

so what is inside the box?

t.o.m.o.r.o.w ok!

Encik Bertopeng yang baik hati

Cant wait for Totti and Tommy's reaction of the bombshell.

Her Belly says: Puti Bungsu Batam

After a long tiring 3 hours gift hunting session for the twin’s birthday and we are still moving in a circle of no where, we decided to have a ‘break’ for our lunch.

“Let’s Puti Bungsu Batam!”

It is an Indonesian export hails from Batam Island (that is how the name Batam came from anyway) housed in a breezy bungalow next to Restoran Nasi Kandar Kampong Pandan. This restaurant has now made a name for itself in Kuala Lumpur for serving delicious Nasi Padang food.

An array of dishes is available to tempt your tastebuds for lunch and dinner. You can opt for two ways to be served; a selection of each of their special dishes to be placed on your table by them or just pick and choose what you want from the counter directly. And we prefer to have it to be served on the table. What they would do is to bring out little plates of dishes and lay it all out on the table. However, you don’t have to eat it all. You only choose the ones that you want to eat. Now the rule is, as long as you don’t touch the other food, you are not charged for it.

Although everything was very tempting, we had to resist and only take a few dishes. We decided to have Bergedel, Dendeng served with red chilies sambal, Sambel Ijo, Ayam Gulai Minang and Pecal or some may call it Gado-Gado.

“See, that is the reason why they didn’t put 4 chairs for table-for-four table! We have occupied the whole table now!”, which is something i totally agreed to.

:D

Well, Puti Bungsu Batam’s version Bergedel, a minced potato and meat cutlet is larger than usual, but with an average taste. It is nothing exceptional and could be replicated in almost any Nasi Campur place in town. (3/5)
Their deep fried dendeng tossed in a dry red sambal sauce is addictive as it's very crunchy with just a prefect hint of chili. (4/5)

One of Puti Bungsu Batam’s specialities is the Ayam Gulai Minang, (4/5) cooked in thick rich coconut milk. Eat it with the hot rice and their tasty Sambel Ijo (4/5) for a nice kick to the lunch or dinner. The taste of the Pecal however, sadly is totally disappointing. A peanut paste delicacy made from dried chillies and pounded peanuts, that is normally guaranteed to whet my appetite is not doing its job well this time. It is watered-down and was served with so limited choice of vegetable and tauhu. (2/5)

Overall, compared to other Nasi Padang restaurants in town, the prices here are reasonable. Although parking around the area can be a problem during lunch and working days, but it is within walking distance from the nearby offices along Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, so tumpang-tumpang la! *huhu*

Puti Bungsu Batam

Bergedil, RM6.00

Dendeng, RM10.00

Ayam Gulai Minang, RM10.00

Sambel Ijo, RM2.00

Pecal, RM5.00

Hand eaten, tanda excited!

Empty plates, tanda seronok!

Happy me

Thanks Orang Kaya itu, a,k.a Encik Rainbow. hee.

Kembali

Oh how I miss to click the ‘New Post’ button on the dashboard! Gosh it has been a really busy and tiring week. We are now, for all the working peoples, in the most hated part of the year, the year end tormenting phase. The reports, PMP and reports again, on top of the already known never-ending-workloads. Or for mine, BACKLOGS!!! (Caused by very irresponsible ‘co’-worker). And I get a mild migraine attack again this week, but hehe, for this time, no more swollen eyes and steroid injection as I’ve already allergic by just hearing the word Ponstan and Cafergot! Ha-ha.

So I’m back today to feed my dearest hungry Kakak Blog. :D

Saturday… How I just love to wait for Saturday. What’s up for today? Well, it will be another tiring day I bet but at least I’ll be doing it with fun and love.

Well, tomorrow is the twins 3rd birthday so there are few Things-TO-Do list that is still being unchecked on my desktop. I need to confirm with Naz from Mad About Cakes on their birthday cake pick up tomorrow, to do a birthday gifts hunting and accompanying my step mum shopping for groceries for tomorrow…

And of course, the most loved and looking forward part, hunting for their gift! And it is the best when being accompanied by orang yang dirindui!

Oops, it is already 1030am now. I'll be meeting 'orang itu' in 30 minutes time. Talk about it later.

Yeay! Farah tak sesat and I’m not feeling guilty anymore :D

10 Reasons To Get More Sleep

Sleep is more important than physical exercises and good eating. The lack of sleep may cause diseases, produces dark rings around your eyes and ages your skin.

10 reasons to get to bed earlier:

1. Sleep is essential for a good functioning of the brain and of the whole body. Rest adjusts the body temperature and assures a good functioning of the nervous system.
woman sleeping

2. The lack of sleep cause you to be moodily, impatient and absent minded. You’ll find it difficult to focus and you’ll lose your sense of humor. You won’t be a pleasant company for your friends, family and colleagues.

3. According to a report of the Sleep Research Center from the British Loughborough University and cited by Divine.ca, every hour of sleep lost below eight consecutive hours represents the loss of approximately one point on a person’s IQ. So imagine after a whole workweek of sleeping poorly! That’s why you are told to get enough sleep before an interview or exam!

4. Lack of sleep can cause you to have trouble focusing on tasks, remembering things, and making rational decisions. Think of how this could impede your productivity at work.

5. Not getting enough sleep could affect the way your body processes food, even leading to unnecessary weight gain.

6. Research has shown that getting enough sleep can have an influence on your longevity, even more than having healthy eating habits, exercising enough, or heredity.

7. Sleep deprivation can affect your immune system, making it weaker, and leaving you more prone to illness and viruses.

8. Always being tired can cause you to be more nervous, even anxious, due to how much more difficulty you’ll have dealing with the stresses of day-to-day life.

Tunggu Dan Tunggu

Untuk kamu yang sedang menunggu,

Saya juga pernah menunggu seperti kamu. Saya juga pernah merasa putus asa ketika menunggu. Kerana menunggu sesuatu yang tidak pasti. Sangat memenatkan. Sangat menyakitkan. Kamu bermain teka teki dengan hati. Tetapi, antara fikiran dan hati. Yang mana satu selalu menang? Kamu tahu jawapannya.

Fikiran kata, pergi. Hati kata, nanti. Akhirnya kamu masih begitu. Menunggu dan terus menunggu. Dahulu, seseorang pernah bertanya. Saya tak penatkah menunggu. Saya memang penat. Saya rasa sakit. Saya terguris. Saya menangis. Ada sesuatu yang menyuruh saya terus menunggu. Satu semangat yang sukar untuk dijelaskan. Tiada apa yang masih terus, kalau hati kamu kata…Berhenti. Cukuplah segalanya sampai di sini.

Kalau kamu masih mahu menunggu. Teruskan menunggu. Cuma jangan terlalu lama. Kerana, ketika kita menunggu. Banyak perkara yang sedang berlari meninggalkan kita.

Tamatkanlah segala teka teki. Pastikan isi hati.

Cuma menunggu miracle

Lawak Hari Ahad

I cannot tell you enough how aggravating it is not to have enough sleep and I'm having a bag as big as 10 pound potato sacks under my eyes now. *sigh*

It has been for 2 days straight that I slept for less than 4 hours which is literally for me, not sufficient enough to my recently hey-days hustle and bustles.

And for that, I would say that I’m moon walking these 2 days and my minds is wandering around and most of the time, still living underneath the comforter, praying that every night the physical body will lounged down early or at least waking up late the day after.

*dreaming*

This morning, with the enthusiastic strength, I woke up as early as 6.45am since the promises has been made to Encik Ayah that i will help him to settle up few house errands today. (I slept at 3 yesterday…so it’s like only 3 hours 45 minutes sleep!) So after ‘basic’ cleaning and change, I heated up the car and drove sluggishly to the gas station to pump for the gas and buying my ICE, the Home Soy Brown Sugar Soya Bean milk.

And that is when the Malaysia version of Mr Bean slapstick or Bendul (ingat tak?) was staged to the public citizen of section 6, Shah Alam. After paying for the fuel and the milk, I went straight to the car, unlocked it, turned the engine on and with poise, driving off!

And the best part, while sipping my ICE, i can still murmured to myself, “Kata harga minyak dah turun, isi minyak pon metre tak naik pon?”

*mengong*

Ha-ha

Only after that, (maybe the ICE milk has taken effect in waking me up) I realized that I didn’t even pump for the fuel and I was already out from the gas station!

*mengong-kuasa-dua*

With the reserved face, I entered the station again and from far, I can see that pump attendant was smiling jovially at my dumbness!

“Adik, mengantok sangat ke sampai tak nak isi minyak? RM30 tu boleh pergi Melaka…”

The luck is at my side, there is no car entered the same terminal after me. So with a taut blushed face, I took the nozzle out and pumping foolishly.

“Tadi saya nak letak skittle tu dah, takut ada orang masuk. Ingat satu hari kena tutup terminal ni”

*erk* ha-ha, funnnnnyyyy-nyaaa

“O ok. Err…Terima Kasih, Aah, saya memang mengantok!”

I had a blast last nite!

Life, It's Fair

Life… it is a journey of searching, looking for something that we want in our life. What we desire and aspire. And for what ever it may be, in the end, it is happiness that we are seeking for.

Happiness varies and it may come in many forms, and it can only be interpreted by oneself. What we want and what makes us really happy.

Have you ever feel unsure of our own choice and feeling insecure of your own decision? I admit, I do, and I believe everybody does. That is when we are having doubt of our decision as we are unsure whether it is the right move or not. I suppose, as a human, we will never feel satisfied of what we had. When God gives us Bronze, we wish that we could have Silver, when he gave us Silver, we wanted to have Gold... and it is infinite.

I learn with sureness and belief, don’t ever run for someone you think that you love and leave someone that really loves you behind. As people that you think that you love will meet someone that they really love and when you are turning back to the one that really loves you, they are no more there. So don’t ever neglected and uncared for someone that really loves you. Appreciate their presence as much as you can, or it will be too late

It is in some way right even though most of us are in denial of the truth.

We just can’t judge the love by physical attraction or materially as what is important is what is deep inside… the heart. Since heart is nearer to what we called LOVE, a true love. And only with heart it will give us the happiness and tranquility.

Our heart won’t tell us lie even though most of the time, we will tend to follow what we perceive than what we feel. But that just can’t deny the truth, what we feel and what is deep inside our heart.

I’m strongly believed that our choice is not always the perfect decision as we tend to follow our emotion, an emotion without sensible judgment. In the end, what we really want and what we really needed differs and leaving us with uncertainty.

Love is about happiness, happiness is about heart. We can’t blame anybody with the wrong choice that we have made. Maybe we have lost in our own choice because we are so busy formatting the steps to the mountain of happiness but we have to keep building the steps, just don’t stop! And for now, we have to build it with a better and proper judgment as past has gave us a good life lesson.

“Ijazah yang terbaik datangnya dari jalanan” hehe

Now, let’s find the best choice or at least, making sure it is the correct decision. For what ever choice that we made, make sure that it comes form the heart. As I told, heart won’t tell us lies. And life of sorrow can always be stopped with a better judgment. Always believe that whenever there is a start, there‘s always the end.

Life’s greatest happiness is to convinced we are loved.

Happy / Sad

My emotion cocktail is now mumbo jumbo-ing with concoction feeling of happy and sad, pleased and poignant, seeing people around me JATUH.

Yes, JATUH.

Saya happy sebab saya sedang JATUH.... (sila isi sendiri tidak lebih 8 patah perkatan) :D

Nak happy je please!

OCBC

Not the bank. OCBC is short for “Orang Cina Bukan Cina”, and can mean one of two things. It can be used as a more colloquial substitutes for the overused word, ‘banana’, or it can be used (affectionately) on dear friends who are so mane mixed parentage that they end up looking vaguely Chinese, even when they’re technically not.

Taken this from KLUE Nov 08 magazine. Funnily, whenever I flipped out the newspaper / magazines / anything that is in print of OCBC, I will take my effortless shot to read at least, the title of the periodical. Not to say that I’m swollen with pride to be one of their associates, but I supposed I should and I just have to.

Well for me, that is not the first witty rendition of OCBC that I have ever heard.

I have once wrote to a customer to apologize for the inability to approve his personal loan application and then being replied and told to leave the bank as OCBC operates by its name, “Orang Cina Bank Cina”

Ha-ha

Yes, I might, but not while this economic down turn where retrenchment and downsizing is everywhere.

Admit, I’m “Orang Cina Bukan Cina” working in Orang Cina Bank Cina”

Cinta Pandang Pertama

“Everywhere we go,
People want to know,
Who we are…?

Gimme a L (L)
Gimme a I (I)
Gimme an M (M)
Gimme a A (A)
What’s that? (LIMA)
Can’t hearyou! (LIMA)
One more time! (LIMA)

Go……LIMA!”

:D

…the ‘song’ that has been ruining my weekend. I was chosen to attend for a Team Building for my department in Malacca for two days and I would say it was a fun yet tiring weekend. To be frank, I was so indisposed to go since my mood meter is running low at the moment, and I just need to be alone. But knowing that it is something that is totally impossible to be escaped from, unenthusiastically, I pushed myself going.

And the most hated part, as always, packing up!
Well I was putted in the L team (LIMA) or a sky blue team and for that we were needed to wear a sky blue tee during the team building games. Knowing the fact that I just can’t wear any pastels colors top, I was so devastated. (It is a no-no thing! *wink*) so I ended up buying an oversized t-shirt as I think that it will act as a great
‘concealor’.
But that’s not end of the tribulations, I need to find a ‘Hanbok’!!!

“Huh?”

Well, I was allotted to be in the Da Chang Jin team for the Movie themed TB dinner, (boring please!). It is an old Korean movie so I need to rent a Hanbok (a traditional Korean ladies costume). Another contribution in adding the kemalasan-nak-pergi indicator and by belief that with the rental cost can actually pay my 1 week fuel expenses. (I managed to get a really cheap costume at only RM50 at the Fun Costumes, Subang! *Save..Save..Save*)

Packing up stuffs is over, but the energy of anticipation was still stumpy.
Until… I saw my hotel rooms! Ha-ha. Yes, it was a really nice cozy room in Holiday Inn, Malacca. And the food served was awesome and was killing my diet well. *tqvm*

And the kemalasan telah bertukar menjadi keseronokkan akhirnya!

It was a fun TB actually. Amazing colleagues bonding. Fun games. Great dinner and fabulous and great MC! He-he It was a really tiring TB though…with so many activities in a very extremely small period of time. And to be frank, I’m typing this with a pair of heavy eyes and uncountable yawning. Since a picture represents a thousand words… Make your own depiction now. :D (sangat tak larat)
